The heater unit for Silver Surfer Vaporizer is full ceramic for safe and effective heating of all your herbs while the glass heater cover makes a great connection with the whip for easy hands free operation. For those who are new to vaporizers, ‘hands free’ operation means that the wand (the glass) that holds your herbs connects directly to the vaporizer until you pull it out. Using Silver Surfer Vaporizer for the first time
Although using Silver Surfer Vaporizer is extremely simple, there are a few tips that will make things go even smoother the first few times you vaporize.
  1. Turn on the unit by plugging it in and turning the temperature knob to max for about 10 minutes to clean your heating element from dust and manufacturing oils. (This is only required the first time you use the vaporizer)
  2. Once the initial burn in is complete, turn the temperature knob to around 2 o’clock and let the vaporizer sit for another 2 minutes to get the temperature down to a good vaporizing temperature.
  3. While you’re waiting for the temperature to drop, finely grind your herbs to get maximum surface area for the heated air to pass through. 
  4. Put your whip together by connecting the food grade tubing to the wand and mouthpiece. (If you’re having problems fitting the tubing into the wand, try dipping it into water. It makes the tubing fit into the wand much easier.)
  5. Then place your finely ground herbs into the wand. Make sure you don’t over fill because if you overfill your wand, you will risk having your herbs fall into the heating unit during use.
  6. Now you’re ready to vaporize. Carefully place your wand onto the vaporizer to create a solid between the vaporizer and the wand.
  7. Take your mouthpiece, and inhale: Take extra care not to blow back into the mouthpiece! This will eject your herbs into the heating chamber which will result in burnt herbs and a mess.
  8. Learning the correct inhale speeds: Take time to understand how the correlation between how fast you inhale and how hot the heated air will be. The slower you inhale, the hotter the air will be. If you have your temperature set high and inhale slow, you run a risk of burning your herbs, so always keep practicing to improve your inhale speeds.

    A wonderful vaporizer. Quick and easy. The only learning curve is matching the temperature with your air flow. Once you get in the zone it works like a charm. By the way, the Da Buddha is made by the same folks and is "the little brother" to the SSV without some of the frills and designer tweaks. It works similarly, so you have a less expensive alternative to the SSV if you are limited in funds

    Hands down, the best vape I've ever used. The hits are stronger than Volcanoes and the taste is more intense. If you're a connoisseur of vaporizing, this is the vape to get.

    I love this vape! Heavy duty, easy to carry, easy to use, works wonders! I got this vape from here a couple weeks ago and I've been using it everyday so far.

    I noticed that the temp on the dial should be turned little short from max to get the best drags. I usually leave it on to warm up for 5 minutes or so to be sure.

    By far best I've used, I actually like it better than for volcano, weird to say. I just personally do not like the bag - balloon type of vapes...

    and this is by far the best vap i used so far. love the glasswork on this vape. works very well, heats up VERY quick. Can take nice and slow LONG drags from the beginning. By the 3rd drag, it hits perfectly.

    Personally think its way better than vapzilla, box, tower, and vapir

    I recommend it for anyone looking for a good vaporizer but dosent have 500 bucks for a volcano. it definitely gets the job done, heats up fast, and the rips are POTENT.
